RNDC Aims To Pass $2 Million in Support for Prostate Cancer Foundation During Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

Republic National Distributing Company’s annual “Do Blue” campaign rallies wholesale alcohol beverage suppliers and customers to contribute toward lifesaving prostate cancer research.

Grand Prairie, Texas, Aug. 30, 2022 – Republic National Distributing Company, a top beverage alcohol distributor in the nation, will recognize Prostate Cancer Awareness Month throughout September with its fifth annual “Do Blue” campaign. Donations will support the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) and its research toward detecting, treating and, one day, finding a cure for prostate cancer.

During this year’s campaign, RNDC’s goal is to surpass $2 million in cumulative impact to PCF and its mission to improve prostate cancer research and spread awareness about the disease. Since starting its efforts in 2018, RNDC has raised more than $1 million in charitable donations to the foundation.

“After one of our own RNDC associates received a prostate cancer diagnosis, we knew we needed to take a stand against this disease,” said Scott Lammert, RNDC Executive Vice President, Supplier Business Development, Wine and Spirits. “Prostate cancer affects one in eight men, and one man is diagnosed every two minutes in the U.S. That’s a staggering reality, and we hope that RNDC can help encourage men to be proactive in taking care of their health.”

RNDC rallies support with its wholesale spirit alcohol beverage suppliers, who participate in “Do Blue” by making donations on a per-case basis. Customers can view participating suppliers through eRNDC, RNDC’s online ordering platform and app. Throughout September, eRNDC will display a “Do Blue” explore tile in each state, where customers can view contributing brands and join the campaign by purchasing their products.

“We’ve seen a significant increase in employee awareness about prostate cancer since we started ‘Do Blue’ five years ago,” Lammert said. “We want them to feel confident and supported in their health journey, whether that’s getting a routine test for prostate cancer or making a conscious decision to prioritize their health.”
