McBeth started out life wanting to be an astrophysicist and was an aerospace engineer for two years at the start of his career. He loved the idea of helping to get something new off the ground. After McBeth moved to Napa and discovered a passion for wine, he found himself hunting for a more authentic experience. After an inspired conversation with Dan Zepponi, President/CEO at Cuvaison Estate Wines, the idea of Melier began to take shape.
