Miami, FL, June 22, 2022 – Origins Organic Imports, a company dedicated to introducing U.S. consumers to a growing roster of well-priced, high-quality, certified-organic wines and beverages from around the world, is proud to affirm its newfound status as an officially accredited WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprise. WBENC (Women’s Business Enterprise National Council) certification confirms that a business is at least 51 percent owned, controlled, and operated by a woman or women — in this case Origins Organic owner, co-founder and president, Anne Bousquet.

Origins Organic Imports was established in 2015 by Bousquet and her husband and business partner Labid al Ameri as the U.S. importing arm for their Uco Valley-based Domaine Bousquet wines, today Argentina’s largest exporter of certified organic wines. Over the past seven years, the Origins Organic Imports portfolio has expanded significantly to include an array wines and beverages from France, Italy, and Spain, as well as Argentina.

“As a businesswoman who has spent most of my career in male-dominated industries, I have always felt it important to support and empower other working women. My position on this has only grown since becoming a mother to my young daughter. I am proud of Origins Organic’s WBENC status, and the respect it confers on women-owned businesses when it comes to evaluating vendors.” Anne Bousquet, President, Origins Organic Imports

Anne Bousquet grew up in a winegrowing family in Southwest France. Breaking with three generations of winemaking tradition, Bousquet opted to pursue a bachelor’s and master’s degree in economics instead. A successful career as an economist specializing in the paper packaging industry ensued. After her father sought help managing the property he had founded in the Uco Valley, now known as Domaine Bousquet, Bousquet and Ameri moved from Brussels to tiny Tupungato in 2009. Today Bousquet splits her time between running Origin Organic Imports in Miami and Domaine Bousquet in the Uco Valley.
