(May 31, 2022 – Napa, Calif.)—Bouchaine Vineyards’ owners Gerret and Tatiana Copeland have announced that Bouchaine wines will be poured at a private celebration hosted by the official royal publisher, St. James House, as a part of the celebration surrounding Queen Elizabeth’s 70th Anniversary and Platinum Jubilee. Guests at the invite-only event will have a rare opportunity to taste wines from the Bouchaine estate, which only traverse the Atlantic for very special celebrations.

Tatiana Copeland developed a friendship with the Queen’s sister, Princess Margaret, over several years beginning in the 1980s while vacationing on the island of Mustique. “Our motto at Bouchaine is ‘Wine Makes You Happy’ and we can’t imagine a more joyful celebration than that of the Queen’s Jubilee,” she says.

The Copelands have owned Bouchaine Vineyards for over 40 years, making it one of the oldest, continuously family-owned properties in Napa Valley’s Carneros AVA. Nestled at the northern portion of San Pablo Bay and looking out toward San Francisco, Bouchaine is ideally located and perfectly suited for growing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The driving belief at Bouchaine is that every harvest, every barrel and every bottle is a unique opportunity to create Estate wines of extraordinary character and quality.

Wines that will be poured at the event include the 2021 Bouchaine Vin Gris of Pinot Noir, 2021 Bouchaine Estate Riesling, 2019 Bouchaine Estate Chardonnay, 2019 Bouchaine Estate Swan Clone Pinot Noir, 2019 Bouchaine Estate Pommard Clone Pinot Noir, and the 2019 Bouchaine Hyde Vineyard Merlot.

“What an honor it will be to absorb this historic experience—we are so excited to come to London to participate in this incredible week of Platinum Jubilee celebrations,” says Bouchaine Winemaker and General Manager Chris Kajani. “At Bouchaine we truly believe in empowering women to positions of authority, and there is no better role model for that spirit than the Queen,” adds Tatiana Copeland.

Tatiana Copeland serves as Bouchaine’s President and CFO and is proud to point out that her winemaking team has two great women: Winemaker and General Manager Chris Kajani and Assistant Winemaker Emily Wiemer.

Part of the weekend festivities is the launch of The Official Platinum Jubilee Commemorative Album, “Her Majesty the Queen,” published by St. James’s House. Both Bouchaine Vineyards and the Copelands’ property in Mustique, Toucan Hill, will be featured in the coffee table book.

About Bouchaine

Bouchaine was founded by Gerret and Tatiana Copeland and is today one of the leading producers of sustainably farmed Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the Carneros AVA. The estate is comprised of 104 acres, including a state-of-the art winery and a new tasting room and culinary kitchen. The vineyards at Bouchaine are greatly influenced by the adjacent San Pablo Bay, where cool breezes and the daily influx of fog allow cool climate varieties to shine. The location’s substantial daily temperature shifts also help develop beautiful acidity in the fruit, resulting in wines with vivid energy and texture. Noted as the first “Fish Friendly Farming” certified vineyard in Napa Valley, the winery is also Napa Green land and winery certified.
