Limited-Time Release to Hit Stores Labor Day

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (Sept. 2, 2021)  — Now among the 30 largest wineries in the U.S., Oliver Winery is bringing back its award-winning Apple Pie wine on September 6. The seasonal wine will be available until it’s sold out.

Featuring tart, crisp apple and soft vanilla, notes of cinnamon and nutmeg, and an a la mode finish, Oliver Apple Pie ($12) is a fresh-pressed, 100% apple wine (no concentrates) with 8.3% ABV. Apple Pie has sold out every year since 2016. A limited supply is released each fall.

“This seasonal favorite continues to surprise consumers year after year,” said Julie Adams, CEO at Oliver Winery. “It’s just one example of how our fruit-forward wines win over every style of wine lover.”

“I’ve been making wine at Oliver for over 20 years and Apple Pie wine is one of my favorites. It’s one of our more innovative offerings that continues to impress,” said Dennis Dunham, Director of Winemaking and VP of Operations at Oliver Winery. “Every year our customers anticipate its release. We love that Oliver has become a part of many family holiday traditions.”

Now in its sixth year of production, Apple Pie has received Gold, Reserve Class Champion at the 2019 Rodeo Uncorked!® International Wine Competition, as well as Best of Class & Gold at the 2017 Indy International Wine Competition and Double Gold at the Indiana State Fair. Last year, the winery sold more than 242,000 bottles, a 17% increase over 2019.
