Joyce Wine Company Joins the Arroyo Seco Winegrowers Association

(Greenfield, CA) July 27, 2021– The Arroyo Seco Winegrowers Association is thrilled to
announce the newest member of the association, Joyce Wine Company.

Winemaker and Monterey County local, Russell Joyce, is expanding Joyce Wine Company into an estate winery with the recent purchase of the historic Ventana Winery in the Arroyo Seco AVA. He plans to continue growing the company from it’s Carmel Valley tasting room location into the Arroyo Seco AVA location with sights set on a second tasting room, and vineyard and winery tours in the coming year.

Joyce wines tell the story of Monterey County’s unique terroir with classic and transparent bottlings. They showcase the area’s premier AVAs with purity and elegance and a focus on the local varietals grown throughout Monterey County and its surroundings. Russell is thrilled to be moving into the Arroyo Seco AVA for its unique terroirs, climate and heritage vineyards.

About the Arroyo Seco Winegrowers

The Arroyo Seco Winegrowers Association provides advocacy, marketing and support services to its winery and winegrower members by educating consumers, media and trade audiences on the distinct characteristics of the region in an effort to bring broader awareness to the Arroyo Seco American Viticultural Area. As one of oldest of the nine AVAs within Monterey County, the Arroyo Seco is a cool climate AVA influenced by the Monterey Bay, well-drained rocky soils, extreme winds and experienced growers who have been growing grapes for over 40 years.
