Lungarotti Chooses Zed_Comm for Press Office Activities and Media Relations, in Italy and Abroad

Milan, January 2021 – Symbol of Umbrian enological excellence in Italy and in the world, Lungarotti has chosen Zed_Comm as partner for communication, press office and public relations activities for the Italian and foreign market with focus on some countries.

Founded in the Umbrian hamlet of Torgiano in 1936 by Giorgio Lungarotti, the historic winery today is led by the daughters Chiara and Teresa, supported by their mother Maria Grazia and grandchildren Francesco and Gemma. A milestone of the Umbrian wine production, Lungarotti has been included by Wine Spectator-Operawine 2021 among the 34 Italian best wineries that “produce world-class wines; are leaders in their regions; and witness the diversity, heritage and authenticity that are the hallmarks of Italian wine” (cit. Wine Spectator).

Tradition, cultural heritage, generational continuity, love for the Umbrian soil: these are the pillars of Lungarotti, a family business where the “human capital” has always played a central role, proving to be a key factor for the growth of this historic winery that represents the very essence of Umbria in the world.

Today, Lungarotti boasts in total 250 hectares of vineyards spread between Torgiano estate (230 ha, certified VIVA since 2018) and Montefalco estate (20 ha organically grown since 2010). In both estates viticulture and wine making processes are strongly committed to environmental sustainability and the preservation of biodiversity, enhancing both native vines and international varieties. The two wineries produce 29 labels, including the famous Rubesco Riserva Vigna Monticchio – Torgiano Rosso Riserva DOCG, repeatedly awarded as one of the best Italian wines, and Rubesco – Rosso di Torgiano DOC, a deep expression of Umbria. In addition to the more complex and long-ageing wines, Lungarotti boasts a wide range of labels which also includes easy-to-drink wines much appreciated by young consumers.

But Lungarotti is not just wine. It is also art, culture and hospitality, key factors that build up the Lungarotti Experience: a charming journey inside Lungarotti world that starts with the tour of the cellar to find out how the wines are produced and taste them, paired with the Umbrian typical meals of the Enoteca della Cantina and Osteria del Museo. The experience continues with a visit to the Museo del vino di Torgiano (Wine Museum), defined by The New York Times as “the best in Italy” for the quality of its collections, and of the Museo dell’Olivo e dell’Olio (Olive Oil Museum) which tells the history of olive oil over the centuries. Last, but not least, the opportunity to complete the experience staying at Poggio alle Vigne and Il Poggiolo, two authentic farmhouses ideal for relaxing holidays immersed in the lush nature of Torgiano.

The PR agency will convey all the news regarding wine, hospitality, art and culture, both in Italy and abroad, with focus on countries such as Austria, Germany, UK and Switzerland.

Zed_Comm has gained valuable experience in the world of wine and lifestyle, managing press office and PR activities for many companies and national and international events.
