Veteran global wine production executive will lead all winemaking, vineyard and operations functions for the company

WOODINVILLE, Wash. (November 10, 2020) – Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, the largest wine company in the Pacific Northwest and the third-largest premium wine company in the U.S., has appointed Dr. Stuart McNab to the newly-created position of Chief Supply Officer.

In this role McNab will lead all winemaking, vineyard and operations functions for the company and will report directly to President and Chief Executive Officer David Dearie.

“I am delighted to have secured someone of Stuart’s skill and experience to join our leadership team,” said Dearie. “Having previously worked with Stuart, I know first-hand that his extensive experience in leading wine operations will assist in delivering our long-term sustainable growth agenda.”

McNab previously served as Chief Supply Officer for Treasury Wine Estates. Prior to that he held similar leadership positions with Fosters Group and Southcorp Wines.

McNab has more than 25 years’ experience in global wine supply chain and operational leadership roles. He has also served in leadership roles with several wine associations including the Winemakers Federation of Australia, the Australian Wine Research Institute and the South Australian Wine Industry Association.

McNab earned a bachelor’s degree and a doctoral degree in agricultural science, both from the University of Melbourne.

McNab began in his new role on November 10 and will relocate to Washington from Australia.
