(August 19, 2020; Buellton, Calif.)—Debra Eagle, General Manager of Alma Rosa Winery, is pleased to announce the promotion of Channing Jones from Club and E-commerce Marketing Manager to Direct-to-Consumer Sales and Marketing Director. In her new role, Channing will oversee hospitality programs for Alma Rosa’s Buellton tasting room as well as the Ranch House on the Alma Rosa estate. Additionally, she will lead corporate wine sales and business development.
“When Channing joined us in February 2019, she quickly proved herself to be an adept marketing, e-commerce and social media strategist,” says Debra Eagle. “We greatly value her contributions to the winery and look forward to growing our DTC business with her.”
Prior to Alma Rosa, Channing served as wine club manager for Brick Barn Wine Estate. While there, she established and cultivated the premium wine club, which saw a steady increase in membership due to her leadership. A specialist in sales, marketing and client relations, Channing elevated the tasting room experience at Brick Barn by leading staff trainings, ensuring a high standard of branding and maintaining vintner partnerships.
Before Brick Barn, Channing was the DTC sales and wine club manager at Sunstone Vineyards and Winery. During her three-year tenure at Sunstone, she restructured the wine club, which resulted in an increase in wine club revenue and an increase in club membership annually, greatly increasing corporate revenue through wine club gross sales.
Channing grew up in Ojai, California, where she helped her grandfather work on the family vineyard and winery, Sagebrush Annie’s. After traveling the world post high school, she returned home to California and studied business administration and management at Santa Barbara City College. She lives with her husband in Solvang, CA.
