Reustle Scores 95 Points at San Diego

Stephen ReustleIn May, San Diego International Wine Challenge announced winners from their 2020 wine competition, awarding Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards ten medals. Leading the way with a 95 Point Rating and a Platinum Medal was Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyard’s 2018 Gruner Veltliner – Green Lizard. Following right behind with a 94 Point Rating and a Platinum Medal was Reustle Prayer Rock Vineyard’s 2018 Gruner Veltliner Estate Selection.

The San Diego International Wine Challenge also awarded Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards Gold Medals for their 2018 Malbec (92 points), 2015 Rojo Dulce Lot 2 (92 points), 2017 Tempranillo Winemaker’s Reserve (91 points), 2018 Grenache (90 points), 2017 Merlot (90 points) and their 2018 Syrah Winemaker’s Reserve (90 points). In addition, Reustle was also awarded four Silver Medals.

Owner/Winemaker, Stephen M. Reustle was excited when he received the news commenting, “San Diego comes at a time when we are all reopening for business. To have our wines score so well is timely. It’s nice to have a fresh batch of scores for our wines to start the summer with.” Mr. Reustle continued, “To have such a variety of wines score gold or higher is a true testament to the winemaking team that we’ve established. Each year our wines show well at San Diego showcasing the high quality of the grapes we grow in the Umpqua Valley.”
