Tastry expands assistance for artisan vintners during COVID-19 with AVEC program
June 30, 2020 (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) – Tastry™, the leading sensory sciences company, announced AVEC, (Artisan Vintners Expanded Clubs), to provide boutique wineries the opportunity to immediately expand the geographic coverage of their wine club to forty-four states, plus Washington D.C. In collaboration with various retail partners, Tastry facilitates the coveted expansion of DTC (direct to consumer) sales for its clients, without the struggle and expense of managing individual state regulatory compliance mandates.
“This is a precarious time for boutique wineries and it’s our mission, through our proprietary sensory sciences, to connect consumers with the artisan winemakers whose brands they will love. Through our strategic partnerships, we will be able to expose artisan wineries to customers from coast to coast. The AVEC program is a natural extension of our mission to support the needs of our wineries.” said Katerina Axelsson, founder and CEO of Tastry. “As a result of customized programs and solutions we have developed to meet the needs of artisan wineries seeking DTC sales, we are experiencing greater than 100% month over month growth,” continued Axelsson.
Most small and micro wineries in the US have limited geographic coverage for their clubs due to the costs associated with state regulations. Once a winery has signed on with Tastry, they can opt-in to the AVEC program which provides access to online retailers like BottleTribe™ to fill their immediate and long-term need of expanding their existing wine club programs.
Responding to the needs and challenges of artisan wineries in today’s marketplace,Tastry recently launched the PAVE, (Protecting Artisan Vintners through E-Commerce) program, which enables wineries affected by the current crisis access to rapidly onboard their wines at a significant discount to Tastry’s platform. The AVEC, (Artisan Vintners Expanded Clubs), program further expands the winery’s reach by providing an opportunity to grow its wine club and DTC sales.
