Fair Play Vintners invite guests to experience a multi-winery virtual tour of their award winning best of class wines!

Fair Play logoEl Dorado County, CA. (June 16, 2020) COVID-19 restrictions have made it much harder to go wine tasting in the traditional way. The Fair Play Winery Association members are launching a collaborative series of virtual tasting beginning July 1. “Since wineries were closed in March there are not opportunities for new customers to discover the award winning wines in our region says Daniela Devitt, President of the Fair Play Winery Association.”

The interactive virtual tasting series will be hosted by wine enthusiast Russ Reyes of kiltandcork.com featuring three wineries together with their “Best in Class” wines. Participants will receive an invitation for a virtual tasting along with a bottle from each winery. This type of cooperation is truly a first for wineries in California. Covid-19 has changed the wine industries model with Fair Play Wineries creating a new way for multiple wineries to reach adventurous wine drinkers in our new normal.

Fair Play AVA (American Viticulture Area) is often described as a hidden gem or best kept secret by first time visitors. There is a sense of discovery when newcomers ask, how did we not know about this beautiful wine region?  The local vintners invite you to Experience Fair Play from the comfort of your home. The Fair Play Winery Association (FPWA), is an association of wineries located in El Dorado County. We have 27 wineries in the Fair Play AVA committed to collaborative teamwork in producing high quality, award winning wines while giving our customers an exceptional vineyard experience. The elevation of the Fair Play AVA ranges between 2,000 and 3,000 feet above sea level. Vineyards planted at higher elevation produce robust varietals that are unique in California.
