Updated Packaging Showcases Nature’s Natural Predator – The Ladybug

Predator Wines bottlesNapa, California, April 13, 2020 – Predator Wines have long underscored the belief that what’s good for the vine is good for the wine in their sustainable approach to winegrowing. This spring, Predator Wines reveals a bold new look bringing nature’s natural predator—the ladybug—brightly into focus with new packaging.

“Our goal with the Predator Brand redesign was to depict a viticultural stewardship angle for the brand while showcasing the focus on our natural and sustainable farming practices. It’s our belief that quality wine begins in the vineyard,” said Morgan Zaninovich, General Manager of the family-owned Rutherford Wine Company, producer of Predator Wines. “The new easy-to-read, colorful labels pop off retailer shelves and are a delightful addition to the dinner table,” Zaninovich continued.

Grapes for Predator Wines are sourced from Lodi AVA. Situated between the Sierra Foothills and the San Francisco Bay Delta, Lodi AVA benefits from warm days and cool evening breezes from the Delta, making the ideal growing conditions. Predator Wines are offered in three bold, fruit-forward expressions: Old Vine Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Six Spot Red Blend.

2018 Predator Old Vine Zinfandel: Our 50+ year old Zinfandel vines produce intensely flavorful fruit. The result? A big and bold wine with hallmark “old vine” velvety texture, spice and vibrant varietal flavors.

2016 Predator Cabernet Sauvignon:  Our Lodi AVA Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are carefully crafted into an intense full-bodied wine. The distinctive flavor profile is smooth and spicy, offering a delicious dusting of cocoa on the palate.

2017 Predator Six Spot Red Blend: This wine is an enticing blend of Petite Sirah, Zinfandel and Malbec. A vibrant and balanced wine with soft, silky tannins, our Six Spot Red Blend is ideal for summer barbecues.  A six spotted lady bug is a good omen in farming folklore.

Available nationally now, each Predator Wine retails for $18/750ml.
