PLACERVILLE, CA: The El Dorado Wine Grape Growers Association is pleased to announce Justin Guadagnolo of Mid Valley Agricultural Services as the guest speaker at the January 15, 2020 grape grower meeting. The meeting will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Placerville Veterans Hall located at 130 Placerville Dr., Placerville. There is no charge to attend and membership is not required.

Guadagnolo will discuss the latest approaches to pest control and vineyard health including new prevention and suppression fungicides for powdery mildew and how to supplement them with existing practices. This includes powdery mildew management in conventional, sustainable and organic farming practices. This disease is equally detrimental to organic and conventional vineyards. The growing use of bio stimulants in viticulture will also be discussed. These are catalytic agents that promote healthy growth of positive soil microorganisms.
