October 10th, 2019 – Jordan, Ontario – This Thanksgiving we celebrate the 7th year that Flat Rock Cellars Good Kharma Chardonnay has been released at the LCBO. From its inception a portion of the sales have gone to Feed Ontario (formerly The Ontario Association of Food Banks), to help them continue their great work. Good Kharma is aptly named because with every bottle purchased, the buyer is helping feed those in need in Ontario.
At Flat Rock Cellars we are always trying to find innovative ways to enhance our community. To date, Flat Rock Cellars has donated $40,000 to Feed Ontario, providing the equivalent of 120,000 meals to people in need. With this year’s launch even more will be donated and more meals will be served to those in need. Feed Ontario serves more than half a million people in 130 communities in our province. One of three of whom is a child.
As our proprietor, Ed Madronich says “Aside from food being essential to life, it is essential to comfort and happiness. That is why we partnered with Feed Ontario and release Good Kharma during harvest and Thanksgiving. “
At $16.95, the 2018 Good Kharma still goes through all the high-quality winemaking processes of all our wines like hand-picking, hand-sorting, and gravity-fed winemaking, so the customer gets the same great value they come to expect from Flat Rock Cellars and also get to “pay it forward” at the same time.
