Sip and Stroll Through the Sierra Foothills This Fall

Wineries of the Sierra Vintners to host visitors during Annual Fall Wine Trail, October 12-13, 2019

Grass Valley, CA, 17 September 2019 – Fall colors will be robust, mountain air crisp and refreshing and Sierra Vintners member wineries will be welcoming visitors to taste and experience delicious wines, tasty bites and enjoy wonderful music and events during the Annual Fall Wine Trail Weekend, October 12-13, 2019.

Sierra Vintner wineries will throw open their cellar doors to welcome guests to explore the boutique, handcrafted wines of the region, paired with light bites paired to enhance the experience of enjoying wonderful wines in beautiful surroundings all while enjoying great music, friends and fun. The Fall Wine Trail weekend provides visitors to the historic Sierra Foothills wine region with the opportunity to explore and experience historic charm, exciting varietals and discover what makes this great region so special.

The Sierra Foothills wine region is located within a short drive from the Sacramento and Reno areas and is situated perfectly for weekend getaways or day trip explorations.  The location is perfect for growing a variety of winegrapes in the vineyards for winemakers to experiment and make a diversity of wines from Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier to Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon, among 20+ other wine varietals. Nestled into the Gold Country region from Auburn to Grass Valley and Nevada City to surrounding foothill locations, the Fall Wine Trail gives you ample opportunity to sip and explore.

About Sierra Vintners

Sierra Vintners is the voice of the three-county region comprised of Placer, Nevada and Yuba counties in the Sierra Foothills wine region.  The association represents the interest of the boutique family-owned wineries and vineyards in the region with the express goal of increasing trade, media and consumer recognition of the region and drive market opportunities for increased sales and visitation.
