Napa, California (July 16, 2019) – Cellar Thief set to launch as a first-come-first-served e-commerce retailer with constant rotation of inventory, larger variety of bottles, and an assemblage of powerhouses in the wine community.
In announcing his collaboration with the contemporary brand, Master Sommelier Chris Blanchard commented: “I’m thrilled to be a part of this exciting new project to feature some of the world’s greatest wines in a unique and fun format. It’s thrilling to be part of this with other outstanding professionals in the wine industry who also happen to be some of my favorite people.”
As a means to further spark interest, Cellar Thief will emphasize curated selections from daily drinkers to highly sought-after bottles. The value will be placed on relationships with wineries, winemakers, distributors and sommeliers, on both a local and national scale. The retailer will focus on offering unique wines at affordable prices but will also assist in consulting, events, merchandise sales, and much more related to wine.
“Because of the surplus of wine in the marketplace, there continues to be a significant interest in the “flash sales” market. The challenge for most of these sites is consistently presenting high quality, fairly priced, “under the radar” wines. As a part of Cellar Thief, I’m joining a team that not only knows how to source those types of wines but also has great experience in the secondary market which makes their operation “one-stop shopping” for those looking for current release and cellared wines,” notes Master Sommelier Bob Bath on the work he plans to do with the company’s secondary wine sector.
