Santa Margarita, CA—Ancient Peaks Winery today announced two new additions to its national sales team—Sara DiFeo has been named Southern Regional Sales Manager, while Jenalyn Johnson has been named Mid-Atlantic Sales Specialist.

“As we expand our national sales program, it is increasingly important to have proven professionals who can call on our distributors, tell our story and advance our momentum in the marketplace,” said Kristin Muhly, the winery’s national brand manager. “Sara and Jenalyn both have the skills and experience to take their regions to the next level for Ancient Peaks.”

Sara DiFeo – Southern Regional Sales Manager

As the Southern Regional Sales Manager, DiFeo occupies a new position covering the South and Midwest with a focus on Texas.

DiFeo comes to Ancient Peaks Winery from The Henry Wine Group / The Winebow Group, where she served most recently as an account executive managing 10 chain major retail accounts in Southern California, including Vons/Albertsons, Bristol Farms and Trader Joe’s.

DiFeo is an Ohio native who has lived in Los Angeles for the past 14 years. She will now move to Austin, Texas to reside in the heart of her sales territory.

“I am excited to continue building this brand with such a strong team,” DiFeo said. “Not only does Ancient Peaks make fantastic wine, but they give so much back to the land and the community, and that is something I am proud to be a part of.”

Jenalyn Johnson – Mid-Atlantic Sales Specialist

As Mid-Atlantic Sales Specialist, Johnson will lead Ancient Peaks Winery’s sales operations in North Carolina, South Carolina, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington D.C.

Johnson comes to Ancient Peaks Winery after spending 10 years at The Winebow Group, where she most recently served as a sales consultant in Northern Virginia. She was the company’s Sales Professional of The Year for Northern Virginia in 2011, and she is a Certified Specialist of Wine.

“I am proud to be working for this dynamic family-owned winery,” Johnson said. “I am really drawn to their dedication to family, environment, and quality.”

Ancient Peaks Winery was established by the Filipponi, Rossi and Wittstrom families in 2005. Ancient Peaks Wines are today distributed in 45 states as well as internationally.

Ancient Peaks Winery’s estate Margarita Vineyard is the southernmost vineyard in the Paso Robles region, located just 14 miles from the Pacific Ocean in the Santa Margarita Ranch AVA. The vineyard occupies one of Paso Robles’ coolest growing environments and spans a rare diversity of soils, resulting in wines that are known for their rich flavors, inherent balance and vivid sense of place.

About Ancient Peaks Winery

Ancient Peaks is a family-owned winery specializing in wines from our sustainably farmed estate Margarita Vineyard in Paso Robles on California’s Central Coast. Margarita Vineyard stands alone as the southernmost vineyard in the Paso Robles AVA, nestled into the rugged Santa Lucia Mountain Range just 14 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The name Ancient Peaks honors the tall peaks surrounding Margarita Vineyard, which were forged by the collision of the coastal plates. Over time, these same geologic forces blessed us with five distinct soil zones—ancient sea bed, rocky alluvium, shale, volcanic and granitic—that bring natural complexity to our wines. Our tasting room is located in Santa Margarita. Visit www.AncientPeaks.com for more information.
