Nonprofit Now Accepting Leadership Retreat Scholarship Applications for Women in Wine & Spirits Industry

Paso Robles, CA—In anticipation of its first annual leadership retreat this fall, Dream Big Darling has published the inaugural edition of its new magazine, showcasing the nonprofit’s activities, events and other professional resources for women in the wine and spirits industry.

“We wanted to capture all that we have accomplished since our founding last summer, and to preview what’s next in the world of Dream Big Darling,” said Amanda Wittstrom-Higgins, founder of Dream Big Darling. “We also wanted to provide professional insights and ‘news you can use’ for anyone in the industry.”

A digital copy of the magazine can be viewed at www.dreambigdarling.org/magazine.

The mission of Dream Big Darling is to foster the success of women in the wine and spirits industry through mentorship, education, life enhancement and professional retreats.

Volume 1 of the Dream Big Darling magazine features a recap of the inaugural Dream Big Auction, Dinner & Concert and a review of a successful scholarship program created in collaboration with Wine Speak Paso Robles. It also looks ahead to the upcoming Dream Big Darling Leadership Retreat, and includes four informative interviews with leaders in the wine and spirits industry. It also includes reading and lifestyle recommendations.

Leadership Retreat Applications Now Live

Dream Big Darling is now inviting up-and-coming women in the wine and spirits industry to apply for scholarships to the fall leadership retreat on September 15-17. The application is located at www.dreambigdarling.org/retreat.

A scholarship to the Dream Big Darling Leadership Retreat includes complimentary on-site glamping and access to the entire retreat experience, including keynote speakers, roundtable discussions, team building activities, meals and more, all valued at $3,750 per person.

Since its founding last summer, Dream Big Darling has raised more than $100,000 to fund event scholarships for rising talents in the wine and spirits industry.

Wittstrom-Higgins founded Dream Big Darling as a passion project with the help of numerous professional colleagues, all of whom share a desire to mentor the next generation.

“With the help of so many people, we have been able to galvanize a community in a short amount of time,” Wittstrom-Higgins said. “We are making a difference in the lives of up-and-coming women in our industry, and we invite everyone to join us in tapping into the power of paying it forward.”
