Niles, IL – (May 1, 2019) Winesellers, Ltd., the family-owned, global importer and marketer of fine wines has named three of its current directors to the title of Vice President. This new layer in the organization is the first step to accommodate the company’s planned growth and expansion.
“As our family business grows, it’s important for us to recognize talent and commitment,” says Adam Sager, Co-President. “We have a strong team, with many years of experience both within Winesellers, Ltd. and from outside. These three Vice Presidents are leaders within Winesellers, Ltd., and have a record of strong performance and setting the bar high for our team.” Additionally, Jordan Sager, Co-President adds, “We’ve acknowledged the need to create a higher level of support and accountability within our structure. Initiating expansion and sales growth is the beginning, however, maintaining that momentum requires great people leading others so we can excel in serving our growing customer base.”
Valerie Lynch-Giroux is named Vice President of East Coast Region Sales
Valerie has been with Winesellers, Ltd. for fifteen years. She was hired in 2004 as a Washington D.C based regional sales manager for the Mid-Atlantic Region. Prior, Valerie worked for Select Wines of DC following a career in finance with Franklin Templeton Investments. Valerie, who resides in New Jersey, leads a team of six regional sales managers in the Eastern USA, stretching from Connecticut to Florida.
Jim Stover is named Vice President of Retail Chains & Central Region Sales
Jim is a wine industry veteran, with more than thirty years of experience in marketing and sales, having held management positions at Brown Forman and Don Sebastiani & Sons. Jim was hired by Winesellers, Ltd. in 2010 to run retail chain sales. He assumed the responsibility for managing the two regional teams covering the Central USA. Jim has six regional sales managers reporting to him, stretching from Ohio to Texas.
Lee Schlesinger is named Vice President of Portfolio Management & Education
Lee earned his MBA from Arizona State University’s Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management, where he met Adam Sager during his studies. Lee started at Winesellers, Ltd. soon after in 2001 as the company’s first Director of Marketing, and his been with the company ever since. Lee has previous experience in brand management and fermentation; he was Marketing Director of Winesellers Ltd. from 2001-2015 and most recently was the Director of Sales for the New England territory from 2015-2019. He will now be responsible for managing the wine portfolio and educating the supply chain. Lee holds an advanced WSET Level 4 diploma.
