Drink Wine, Eat Chili and Wear Green for This Year’s Event Held on St. Patrick’s Day

BUELLTON, CA, January 24, 2019 – It’s almost wine and chili time in Buellton, CA. This year, the 6th Annual Buellton Wine & Chili Festival will take place on Sunday, March 17th St. Patrick’s Day, so don’t forget to wear green! The festival will be held from 12-4:30pm at Flying Flags RV Resort in Buellton, where there will be tons of chili and samples from over 25 wineries, craft breweries and spirit companies. Bring your friends and family to play some bocce ball, table tennis, and cornhole while enjoying this delicious festival.

The highlight of the event is the community chili cook-off, open to all local businesses and residents. Try some chili and salsa made by some of the best local chefs, and restaurants, all competing to take home prizes for the best chili and homemade salsa.

The festival will have live entertainment by Noble Grizwald and The Rincons. Based out of Ventura, CA, Noble Grizwald, formed initially by four friends, spans a wide sonic range from upbeat indie a la Vampire Weekend, to psychedelic journeys akin to Pink Floyd, with roots in country and folk in the great American tradition of the Nashville and Southern scenes. The Rincons, also known as the Dusty Jugz, are a local favorite in Buellton. When they play rock, they’re The Rincons, but when they play country, they’re the Dusty Jugz. Don’t miss these two bands at the festival.

Tickets are $45 for Hot Chili Ticket (General Admission for 21+), and $20 for Mild Chili Ticket (Guests 13-20 years old), and $10 for Chili Verde Ticket (Children 12 and under).

If you’re planning a weekend trip to Buellton for the festival, Flying Flags RV Resort is an amazing experience for travelers. Guests can choose from multiple airstreams, each with its own unique design, or stay in an upscale cottage or safari tent. Both the cottage and safari tents offer the glamping experience– the cottages have the feeling of home and the tents allow you to tell people you are “roughing it” as you sit in your King-size bed looking out at the mountain views. The airstreams, cottages and safari tents each have their own backyard and a BBQ and/or fire pit. Flying Flags is the ultimate glamping experience!

There are options for safe transportation to the Buellton Wine and Chili Festival for those staying elsewhere on the central coast and locals like the Brew Bus. The Brew bus will be doing pickups in Santa Barbara, Goleta, Santa Maria and Lompoc.
