Iconic Family-Owned Napa Winery Hires Sales and Hospitality Expert with Extensive Hotel Experience
(Napa, Calif.)— January 14, 2019—Trefethen Family Vineyards, a family-owned winery with more than five decades producing estate-grown Napa Valley wines, today announced the appointment of James DeLuca as Director of Retail and Hospitality. In this newly created position, DeLuca will oversee all direct-to-consumer sales efforts and programs including Trefethen’s wine club, winery events and visitor experiences. DeLuca will also work closely with the Trefethen family and Winery Chef Chris Kennedy Aken on the development of a new culinary program aimed to debut in 2019.
DeLuca brings extensive hotel and hospitality experience to Trefethen. He previously held management positions at the Harvest Inn, Bardessano, North Block Hotel and SENZA, all in the Napa Valley. He has also worked in senior sales roles with The Standard Hotel, Thompson Hotels and Resort at Squaw Creek. He holds a Bachelor of Political Science from Amherst College and lives in Napa.
