The first GM in Thacher’s 14-year history, Quealy brings his wealth of consumer and sales experience to the acclaimed boutique family-run winery.

Dec. 5, 2018 (Paso Robles, Calif.) – Thacher Winery and Vineyard is proud to announce Tony Quealy will serve as the winery’s first-ever general manager, effective immediately.

In his role, Quealy will manage all consumer-facing channels including the tasting room, wine club operations, and lead efforts to bolster Thacher’s sales and marketing reach. He will also help in developing new customer experiences.

Most recently, Quealy spent nearly eight years at Halter Ranch in Paso Robles in various leadership roles, including wine club manager and tasting room manager.

A visionary in creating unique customer experiences, at Halter Ranch Quealy oversaw the opening of a new tasting room (one of the largest in Paso Robles) and helped forge the winery’s celebrated touring and tasting programs.

“As we’ve grown, both in recognition and size, it became clear a GM would be paramount to our future, and Tony’s experience in creating and leading both teams and sales will help us get there,” said Sherman Thacher, winemaker and the winery’s founder.

Raised in Fort Dodge, Iowa, Quealy was a golf professional in Southern California for 11 years before entering the wine industry. He lives in Paso Robles with his wife Pam and sons, Jackson and Greyson.

“Thacher is one of the most exciting brands in California, and I’m excited and honored to help the Thachers take their winery to the next level,” said Quealy.
