Niles, IL  – Winesellers Ltd., the family-owned, global importer and marketer of fine wines, is proud to announce the release of Quinta de la Rosa’s 30-Year-Old Tawny Port. This collectible port celebrates the thirtieth anniversary since Father/Daughter team Tim and Sophia Bergqvist started Quinta de La Rosa in the Douro. Over the past three decades, Quinta de la Rosa has earned its place as a Port wine flagship.

This special collectible bottling is the aristocrat of the La Rosa ports. It’s crafted from the best of the best tawny ports that have been meticulously aged in small, 550L oak casks for 30 years. The beautiful golden color indicates the age, and the nose is full of great richness and aromatic complexity, notably of almond and spices. The palate delivers a seductive texture with dry fruits and liqueur flavors.

Quinta de La Rosa ports are made from traditional port varieties, mainly Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz, grown in the older, dry stone terraced estate vineyards at La Rosa, which are all classified as A quality by the Casa do Douro. The tawny ports are blended from the selection of the finest old ports. Once ready to be shipped, unlike most port shippers, all Quinta de La Rosa products are bottled in the Douro (at La Rosa and not Porto), allowing full traceability and ensuring quality from grape to bottle.  Other Quinta de la Rosa bottlings currently include: Lots 601 Ruby Port, Late Bottled Vintage Port, Tawny Port, Tonel 12-year Tawny Port, Vintage Port and the still wines: DouRosa Red, Estate White, Estate Red and Reserva Estate Red.

The Quinta de la Rosa 30-Year-Old Tawny Port will be positioned $90 retail nationwide in 2019.
