Scheid Family Wine Hires New Southern California Sales Manager

SALINAS, California – October 3, 2018 – Scheid Family Wines (SFW) announced today it has hired John Spillane as the new sales manager for Southern California. John will work closely with SFW’s distributor, Young’s Market Company, to grow representation and sales in restaurants and independent fine wine shops across the territory.

John has an extensive background in the wine industry. Prior to joining SFW, he was the Western Regional Manager for Classica International and Avignonesi, one of Italy’s most respected wine producers. As part of his duties, John managed six distributors in five states. From 2013-2017, John was the Southern California Market Manager for Turquoise Life Beverage Brands, where he worked with 22 brands and a number of private labels across five states. John’s resume also includes stints at Hangar 24 Brewery and Distribution in Orange, CA and Beverages and More in Valencia, CA. He has his B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Channel Islands and his Level I Master Sommelier certification. John is the proud owner and grower of a 94-vine vineyard planted to Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon.
