Acme Hospitality Features “Women of Wine” Throughout October in Support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The Lark, Les Marchands, Loquita, Santa Barbara Wine Collective and Tyger Tyger Unite for Month-Long Fundraiser Benefiting Santa Breast Cancer Resource Center

WHO: Acme Hospitality: The Lark, Loquita, Les Marchands Restaurant & Wine Shop, Santa Barbara Wine Collective, Tyger Tyger in Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone and the Breast Cancer Resource Center in Santa Barbara, California

WHAT: Acme Hospitality announces WOMEN OF WINE, a dedicated campaign in support of national Breast Cancer Awareness Month throughout October 2018. Each Acme venue – The Lark, Loquita, Les Marchands, Santa Barbara Wine Collective and the soon-to-open Tyger Tyger will showcase female winemakers on their respective wine lists. A portion of proceeds from sales during October benefit Santa Barbara Breast Cancer Resource Center to help bring awareness, foster research and support for people and families affected by this deadly disease. Sherry Villanueva, Managing Partner for Acme Hospitality states, “We have many incredible women driving the wine business today and we felt that Breast Cancer Awareness Month was a perfect time to call attention to their innovative contributions to the industry while supporting our breast cancer services that help so many local women and their families.”

ABOUT SANTA BARBARA’S BREAST CANCER RESOURCE CENTER:

Since 1997 the Breast Cancer Resource Center has acted as a clearinghouse of information, personal support through peer-counseling, and referral service conduit for women diagnosed with breast cancer or dealing with benign breast health issues. Daily services include access to a remarkable library resource, one-on-one peer-counseling, support groups, a buddy mentor program, and a suite of complementary care and Integrative Therapy services such as Meditation, Reflexology, Reiki, Art Therapy, and private Sexuality and Intimacy counseling with a registered nurse. One hundred percent of the Center’s income comes from generous contributions from individual donors, businesses, and grant donations from private foundations.
