Santa Ynez Valley, CA — Santa Barbara County’s Alma Rosa Winery & Vineyards is pleased to announce the appointment of Debra Eagle as General Manager.

Eagle brings 24 years of industry experience to her new position at Alma Rosa, having directed marketing and sales for some of the industry’s most important wine brands, including the iconic Robert Mondavi Winery, multi-million case Sutter Home Winery and the exclusive BOND. Most recently, Eagle served as Senior Director of Business Development at Vintage Wine Estates, where she was the General Manager of BR Cohn Winery in Sonoma Valley and where she represented the parent company’s extensive portfolio in Asia and Europe.

In her new position at Alma Rosa, Eagle will oversee the construction of the new state-of-the-art winery on Alma Rosa’s 600-acre estate. In addition, Eagle will help redirect the brand to an estate and appellation-focused direct-to-consumer operation, with wholesale distribution in select markets.

“Having focused on Napa Valley Cabernet for much of my career, I’m excited about the opportunity to market and sell Pinot Noir—the holy grail of winemaking,” shares Eagle. “It’s an honor and a delight to work with a thriving brand alongside such esteemed colleagues in the industry and help Alma Rosa evolve and expand in positive new ways.”

“Debra’s extensive sales knowledge and management experience make her a key asset to the Alma Rosa team,” says founder Richard Sanford. “We couldn’t be more pleased to have her on board, providing her valuable insights and skills as we grow and further develop.”

Northern California native Eagle holds her MBA from the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley, and a BA from Mills College. She is an avid reader, swimmer and hiker, and as an outdoor enthusiast, Eagle is enjoying making the most of all that the coastal regions of Santa Barbara County offer.
