May 21, 2018 – Geyserville, CA– This year’s CVWSF annual fundraising gala will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at Soda Rock Winery in Healdsburg, California. With the generous support of donors, gala enables the community to come together to raise funds ensuring that students in our agricultural community have access and support towards a higher education. With generous support from our donors we as a community can help realize the dreams of students seeking to better themselves academically. In 2017 we awarded $49,500 in scholarships and trust that we can surpass that goal in 2018 with your participation!

Gala attendees will be greeted with passed hors d’oeuvres as they meander through the silent auction while sipping current release wines from the Wilson Artisan Wineries. Guests will be invited to a formal three-course wine pairing dinner. California Senator Mike McGuire will be heading the live auction post-dinner.

The CVWSF planning committee is currently seeking attendees interested in purchasing a table to attend the event and auction as well as donors interested in contributing to this fund to continue to support the families of our local vineyard workers. Tickets are $100 per person or $750 for a table of 8. Three winemaker tables are also available for $1500 per table where guests will be seated with one of 5 winemakers. In addition to enjoying an amazing meal and wine, guests of the gala will be able to bid on incredible auction items that are the foundation of the scholarship fund.

To purchase tickets or make donations please call Annie at 707.433.3303, or via email, annie@sodarockwinery.com. For more information please visit our website at www.wilsonartisanwineries.com/scholarship.

ABOUT CVWSF

Seventeen years ago Ken and Diane Wilson held a casual barbecue at Wilson Winery with the belief that children of Sonoma County vineyard workers should not be limited by financial hardships in their pursuit of educational opportunities; thus began the Children of the Vineyard Workers Scholarship fundraiser (CVWSF). In 2002, they collaborated with the Sonoma County Farm Bureau. Each year, Wilson Artisan Wineries provides numerous scholarships throughout Sonoma County and have since distributed more than $500,000.00 in scholarships. CVWSF is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization and our tax identification number is #75-3187688.
