(April 18, 2018 — Sonoma, CA) — Honoring a family’s rich history in Sonoma County, a third generation of the Sangiacomo family launches a series of wines from their estate vineyards, grown in Carneros, Napa, and along the Sonoma Coast. Their inspiration is born from a pursuit to craft the very finest wines and honor their family, past and present while creating a legacy for the next generation of the Sangiacomo family.

Vittorio & Maria Sangiacomo’s purchase of the Home Ranch, a 52-acre fruit tree ranch in 1927, staked the family’s flag in Sonoma. The family’s next generation of Angelo, Buck, Lorraine, and Bob Sangiacomo carried on the legacy by growing the apple and pear business and converting to premium grape vineyards in the late 1960’s and has now grown to 1,600 estate acres in Sonoma and Napa.

“We want to create wines that express our vision through our vineyards. For 50 years our family has grown Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes for some of the finest wineries in California,” says Steve Sangiacomo. “Our winery partners have created amazing wine quality from our fruit for many years, and we now hope to make them proud by creating wines that will complement them in the marketplace.”

Mike Sangiacomo added, “We love what we do, and will now have the opportunity to share our new wines at the table. These are special vineyard sites that are near and dear to our heart, and we understand the responsibility of shepherding these grapes to glass. We’re excited to see where we can take these vineyards and wines into the future.”

“Watching my family farm for decades has always made me feel proud and lucky to be a part of a strong unit of support and love,” says Mia Sangiacomo Pucci. “While farming is at the heart of my family, it is exciting to start making something from the fruits of our labor. I believe that creating this wine is like creating a history book for our future generations. It encompasses the story of how our family has evolved, while still honoring the legacy of our past.”
