Loads of Activities Planned for new Brand: “Experience Rosé”

Debra Del Fiorentino

SAN FRANCISCO, CA; January 22, 2018“Experience Rosé: The 2018 Competition,” a brand-new Competition set for Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Soda Rock Winery, focusing exclusively on Rosé wine and directed by Debra Del Fiorentino, will launch a new “Experience Rosé” brand and its collection of curated events and activities created by Craig Palmer and Allen Habel, co-founders of the now closed Rosé Today.

Experience Rosé is all about providing extraordinary experiences for everyone who revels in our passion for Rosé and its infinite possibilities all year-long — foodie to newbie, winemaker to chef,” Palmer said. “Our dedication to excellence begins with this Competition.”

“Debra is an internationally renowned leader in wine competitions with such a zealous commitment both to celebrating the wide range of Rosé winemaking domestically and internationally, and to linking this Competition with other Experience Rosé follow-on activities that give these award-winning wines greater visibility in the marketplace,” added Habel.

“We are so grateful to Wilson Artisan Wines for hosting us,” said Del Fiorentino. “Our judges in our inaugural year will be the best of the best. We want our entrants to know how much we respect their artisanal craftsmanship, and that we will take every care in our judging.” The top tier panel of judges recruited by Del Fiorentino include: Dan Berger, Jacques Brix, Bernadette Byrne, Traci Dutton, Renata Franzia, Barry Herbst, Erik Miller, David Sandri, Chris Sawyer and Cathy Vicini.

Experience Rosé: The 2018 Competition is currently accepting entries. Winemakers can register by visiting enofileonline.com. The deadline for registration is Monday, April 16, 2018.

Del Fiorentino, Palmer and Habel have planned several innovations in this new Competition that add value for entrants. “For our gold-and-above winning wines, we’re going to ask the judges if we can actually share their notes with the winemakers,” said Del Fiorentino. “This will be wonderful feedback for these talented producers.”

Additionally, only winning wineries in the Competition will be invited to pour at the two curated public events planned by Experience Rosé in 2018. These include “The Great Rosé Pairing for Summer” set for Saturday, June 16, 2018 at The CIA at Copia and where winning wines are paired in themed tasting areas with teams of CIA students led by Chef Lars Kronmark preparing gourmet bites inspired by the cuisines of the four major Rosé producing areas: France, Italy, Spain and the US/California. Additionally, Experience Rosé will present “The Great Rosé Pairing for Thanksgiving” to be held Friday, October 19, 2018 at Jaxon Keys Winery and Distillery in Hopland in collaboration with the students in the Culinary Arts Program led by Nicholas Petti at Mendocino College.
