Napa, CA (November 21, 2017) – Napa Valley Grapegrowers (NVG) announces its Erosion Control Community Fair taking place on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 8 am to 10 am at the Napa Valley Expo – Third Street Entrance. Complimentary erosion control materials, such as mulch, straw wattles, native and sterile seed mixes, and gloves will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additionally, NVG has gathered industry experts and environmental and land use organizations to be on hand to advise on best erosion control practices as it relates to individual properties and to answer any post-fire recovery questions.

“Every year, growers implement erosion control practices in the vineyard, before the winter rains.  While vineyard sites have been protected at this point, we thought it was very important to support our community in making sure that all landowners have access to erosion control materials and information, as well as funding opportunities as they go about recovery on their properties,” said Jennifer Putnam, CEO and Executive Director of the Napa Valley Grapegrowers.  “We hope that landowners across Napa join us next Wednesday”.
