The company has revolutionized the wine industry with its enology precision tool, WineSeq, able to identify the vineyard microbiome.

Biome Makers is honored to announce that it has been selected to take part in Terra Accelerator and participate in the second edition of its Cohort program, in San Francisco, after joining the prestigious Illumina and Plug&Play accelerators.

“Now is the right time to take advantage of the microbial biodiversity. We believe that a better use of the microbiome will bring more and better crops”, Adrián Ferrero, co-founder and CEO of Biome Makers, said. “Being part of Terra Accelerator is a great opportunity to strengthen the undestanding of microbial community and it importance in agriculture processes”.

This accelerator program brings together the industry’s most disruptive startups and progressive corporations to work hand-in-hand to fuel cross-industry innovation and set a new standard for food and agriculture. Furthermore, it is designed to be an ongoing innovation platform that will result in a continuous stream of commercially viable solutions.

Cohort II program is an attraction for the best startups, designed with the corporate needs in mind. It also develops a validation phase to test new startup technologies for their business and is supported by partnerships formed with industry organizations that provide support, coaching and resources to participating startups.
