STAGS LEAP DISTRICT, Napa, CA, September 6, 2017 – The Stags Leap District Winegrowers Association (SLDWA) announced today that its highly-limited Appellation Collection, a luxury collection of 17 Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignons from the 2014 vintage, will be released on October 15, 2017. This year’s coveted compilation features one bottle of 2014 Stags Leap District-designated Cabernet Sauvignons from 17 of the association’s prestigious member wineries. The one-of-a-kind offering is available from October 15th through December 15th, 2017, and only 150 sets are available for purchase.
“The 2014 vintage was a vintner’s dream come true,” said Remi Cohen, Vice President and General Manager at Cliff Lede Vineyards and President of the Stags Leap District Winegrowers Association. “We had perfect autumn weather that year which created very concentrated and perfectly ripened fruit, but it was a short vintage so these wines are extremely limited. This year’s Appellation Collection is sure to wow you as it showcases the best of Stags Leap District Cabernet.”
The 2014 Appellation Collection includes one bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from each of the following Stags Leap District Winegrowers wineries: Baldacci Family Vineyards, Chimney Rock Winery, Cliff Lede Vineyards, Clos Du Val, Ilsley Vineyards, Lindstrom Wines, Malk Family Vineyards, Odette Estate Winery, Pine Ridge Vineyards, Quixote Winery, Regusci Winery, Shafer Vineyards, Silverado Vineyards, Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, Stags’ Leap Winery, Steltzner Vineyards, and Taylor Family Vineyards.
The 2014 Appellation Collection is priced at $1,999.00 for the 17-bottle set, with ground shipping included. The Stags Leap District Winegrowers Association is the exclusive retailer of the Appellation Collection and the only American Viticultural Area (AVA) or appellation to offer a vintage-specific assemblage of its wines.
