DTC Wine Workshops Presents Central Valley Roadshow May 15 & 16, 2017 in Partnership with Fresno State University, Calturas Winery, Brewery & Event Center Lodi

DTC Wine WorkshopsCASTRO VALLEY, CALIFORNIA | April 28, 2017: Wines and Vines Magazine, North Bay Business Journal and Forbes Magazine have featured DTC Wine Workshops in articles on Direct Wines Sales Growth, Wine Consumer Trends and Wine Business Strategy as direct to consumer sales has become the fastest growing channel in the wine industry for the past three years. The value of wines shipped to consumers nationally in 2016 reached $2.33 billion. Wineries of all sizes are investing in new tools and training services to tap into the fastest growing sales channel in the U.S.

Sandra Hess, DTC Wine Workshops founder, is a frequent speaker at wine industry events throughout the nation and serves as a subject matter expert in the areas of tasting room sales training, wine club management, customer relationship marketing, strategic sales planning and customer retention practices. Winery association directors across the nation have asked the DTC Wine Workshops team to present in-person workshops as to train winery teams and stakeholders.

In August 2016, DTC Wine Workshops presented the Central Coast Roadshow in Paso Robles on August 23rd and in San Luis Obispo on August 24th. Winery owners and managers received hands-on instruction from three speakers in the two half-day roadshow events. The roadshow events provide opportunities for winery teams to hear latest ROI statistics from recent direct to consumer wine case studies and receive real-time feedback during question and answer periods.

This May, DTC Wine Workshops presents the Central Valley Roadshow at California State University, Fresno on May 15th 9:00 – 12:00 and at Calturas Winery, Brewery & Event Center in Lodi on May 16th 9:00 – 12:00. The three guest speakers include Kevin Smith, Winery Business & Marketing Manager, Fresno State University, on the topic of “DTC Growth Planning”, Nicholas Karavidas, Founder of WineConcepts Marketing, on the topic of “Data Analytics for DTC Sales Growth” and Sandra Hess, founder of DTC Wine Workshops, on the topic of “Brand Ambassador Programs”.  Roadshow details, event locations and registration information can be found at:  http://dtcwineworkshops.com/events/2017-05/

Fresno State University is the first university in the nation with a license to operate a winery as part of its overall educational program.  The Fresno State Winery is operated and funded by the Agricultural Foundation of California State University, Fresno, a recognized campus auxiliary organization, which also manages and operates other farm enterprises in support of the hands-on educational experience for our students.  The Winery received its license in 1997 and the first commercial wine that was bottled and sold was a white table wine named for professor emeritus, Dr. Vincent Petrucci.  All net proceeds from the Winery benefit the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology and the Department of Viticulture and Enology.

DTC Wine Workshops was founded in 2013 out of response to wineries ready to grow direct wine sales and retain loyal customers with an ideal blend of technology and internal processes. Sandra Hess, founder of DTC Wine Workshops launched the DTC Consultant Network to provide flexible consulting and training services to wineries on a project-by-project basis.
