More about JOLEE WINES

DEFINITION – Jolee [joh-lee] 1) a riff on the French word Jolie, meaning pretty 2) the name of one of Del Rio’s founders 3) two lovely, vibrant, fruit-driven wines.

Ready for spring Rose Jolee is a lightly sweet, co-fermented confection of Muscat, Riesling and Cabernet Franc. Cold fermented to retain the natural Co2 created by the fermentation process; this wine has a light spritzy quality, coupled with complex fruit flavors and crisp acidity. The acid acts as a foil to the wine’s sweetness, providing a clean, crisp finish that makes for an eminently enjoyable quaff and a fantastic partner with food. Great with a wide variety of dishes from Nashville hot fried chicken, to Thai curry, Carne Asada tacos or a strawberry tart. Rose Jolee makes an impression whether served a cappella or in harmony but it’s always best served with a side of friends.

A scrumptious, spicy red blend of Merlot, Cabernet and Syrah, Rouge Jolee is easy drinking with a smooth silky structure. Crafted from estate grown fruit, with artisan French winemakers and elegant packaging, Rouge Jolee is a cut above, in the Red Blend category. Beautiful, lush fruit flavors are layered with toasty oak and a rich round finish. Attractively priced our Rouge Jolee is fresh new face on the shelf. Great with black and blue burgers, smoked BBQ brisket, pepperoni pizza or an elegant steak Diane, Rouge Jolee is a versatile crowd pleaser to be sure.

The Del Rio Vineyard Estate overlooks the Rogue River at the convergence of the Cascade, Siskiyou and Coastal Mountain ranges. A 300 acre vineyard of breathtaking beauty, Del Rio is run by Rob and Jolee Wallace, fourth generation farmers, whose hearts and passion for the land are as big as their vineyards skyline. Together with a team of artisan winemakers, the Wallace’s are working their dream producing world class wines in the wild and unspoiled Rogue Valley.

Our vineyard’s unique terroir enables Del Rio to grow a diverse range of varieties from cool climate Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris to big reds that thrive in warmer regions, like Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. From this vineyard we produce our elegant full-flavored Del Rio Vineyard Estate, Jolee and Rock Point wines. In addition to supplying our own brands we are a key source of grapes to fine wine makers throughout the Northwest.
