Oakland, California, March 31, 2017 The Oakland Wine Festival will showcase the wines of South Africa on April 23, 2017 at 2:30pm. For the third year, The Oakland Wine Festival presents a monthly seated tasting, Soiree and Silent Auction featuring the wines of our featured International Wine Region.  This year we have selected South Africa as our partner.  Limited tickets are available for this popular event that is sure to sell out!  Tickets are available here.

Our featured Wines of South Africa are the premium wines from Ken Forrester Vineyards, and the special Western Cape varietals: Syrah, Cinsault and Cabernet Sauvignon from The Three Foxes.

We will also share these fine and exciting wines from South Africa:

The noble white wines and superior red wines of De Wetshof Estate;  The high quality boutique and flagship wines of Warwick Wine Estate;  The award-winning and renowned wines of Delaire Graff Estate and the wines of immense character of A.A.Badenhorst Family Wines.  These wines are made possible by our educational partner and founding sponsor Broadbent Selections.

This April 23, 2017 experience marks an important first for the Wines of South Africa, wines from South Africa, The Oakland Wine and Food Society and The Oakland Wine Festival!

About the Oakland Wine Festival:

The Oakland Wine Festival is a high profile, educational, wine and food event featuring celebrated winemakers from Napa Valley, Sonoma County, and around the world. The festival is collaboration between Founder, Melody Fuller, and some of her close friends in the Napa Valley and beyond. The Oakland Wine Festival features premium, reserve, library, high-end, hard-to-get and newly released wines.

Melody was named Best Westerner by Sunset Magazine for the innovative and creative work that she does in the wine world.  The Oakland Wine Festival is the result of the desire to further acknowledge an overlooked – yet key – community of wine lovers who appreciate having world-class vintners and chefs within arm’s reach.
