Bianchi Releases Five Flavorful Additions from Premium Wine Collection

PASO ROBLES AND NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (March 22, 2017) – Award-winning Bianchi Winery of Paso Robles, California, is excited to announce the release of select vintages, continuing its renaissance-like growth over the past year. The first quarter of 2017 has heralded in a new dawn for the winery, with new winemaker Chris Stanton taking the helm, and accolades from the San Francisco Chronicle and Wine Enthusiast.

“We’ve breathed new life into Bianchi, and we’re enthusiastic about the year ahead,” proprietor Beau Bianchi said. “We are especially excited to release the GSM and Syranot blends, which truly show the art of winemaking through each bottle.”

This year, Bianchi’s 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon took home double gold at the annual San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, which is the largest of its kind in the United States. In addition, five of Bianchi’s wines were recently rated by Wine Enthusiast and will be featured in the March and April issues. Wine Enthusiast Scores below:

  • 2012 Syranot: Rated 91
  • 2015 Sauvignon Blanc: Rated 90 and named a Best Buy
  • 2012 Syrah: Rated 92

With an updated vision of his brand, and a host of highly rated wines, Bianchi has also restyled the bottling and packaging, utilizing high quality paper, ink and printing techniques to show off his family’s new logo designs. In addition, he’s brought on veteran winemaker, Chris Stanton, to join his team. With more than two decades in the industry, Stanton has a fruitful history of releasing highly rated and reviewed wines throughout Napa and the Central Coast. His eye for simplicity in his use of the land and the grapes pairs well with Bianchi’s goal of creating timeless classics under its label, while continuing expansion into the super and ultra-premium markets. Stanton has a reputation of producing wines with 90+ ratings that are complex and interesting, making him a natural selection to run the operations.

Bianchi Winery’s latest releases include:

  • 2015 Sauvignon Blanc
Though this Sauvignon Blanc’s citrus and floral notes stand alone on one’s palate, they also pair excellently with grilled snapper, garlicy prawns, or a fresh salad with feta, artichoke, and lemon vinaigrette.
  • 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon
The Cabernet Sauvignon pairs well with meatballs, duck breast, red cabbage, or a skirt steak with palate-brightening chimichurri sauce.
  • 2012 Syranot blend
This unique “Syranot” blend, whose Pinot Noir notes transform thanks to a generously fruity Petite Sirah base, uplifts any dish featuring pork tenderloin, salmon, creamy sauces, hamburger, or hearty stews.
  • 2013 Geste
The 2013 “Geste” is another special blend that both shines on its own with a myriad of crisp berry notes and waxes poetic to the right meal. Enjoy this rich vintage with seared ahi tuna salad, bacon wrapped dates, or a recipe featuring gamey meats and lentils to bring out its finishing plum and spicy oak flavors.
  • 2012 Syrah
Bianchi’s latest medium-bodied Syrah release beautifully complements cured meats, braised pork belly with umami flavored vegetables, as well as bleu cheese-driven dishes thanks to a dry note of cranberry and a perfectly balanced finish.
