Just in time for Spring, Michael Mondavi Family Estate (MMFE) has released their 2016 Isabel Rosé of Cabernet Sauvignon (SRP $20), a first for the winery. Released under the Isabel Mondavi brand, the wine is a family affair, created by vintner Dina Mondavi, Michael and Isabel Mondavi’s daughter.

Although produced in a Provençal style, Isabel Rosé holds true to both its Napa roots, made up primarily of Cabernet, while also paying homage to the Mondavi family’s Italian heritage with the additions of Barbera and Muscat Canelli.

With a bright acidity and fresh fruit flavors, this wine pairs well with a variety of cuisines from antipasti to spicy Thai. It’s also very enjoyable just… by itself.

The rosé is packaged in glass from top to bottom, with floral filigree screen-printed in lieu of a label, which makes it an object worth keeping to reuse in different ways.
