3L Bottle from Wilson Winery of Dry Creek Fetches $50,000 at Auction

March 13, 2017 – Healdsburg, CA– a 3.0 Liter of Diane Wilson’s Wilson Family Red Blend recently sold for $50,000 at the Houston Rodeo’s Champion Wine Auction & Dinner. The wine was auctioned as part of the annual Rodeo Uncorked! Champion Wine Auction and Dinner which took place on Sunday, March 5, in Houston, Texas. The wine was purchased by a group of buyers: Ava & Clayton Davis, Cathy & Congressman Kevin Brady, Jessica & John McAleer and Judge Wesley Ward.

Wilson Winery received Top All-Around Winery Award at the competition which was held November 12 & 13, 2016.  This year, the competition included entries of 2,850 wines from 20 different countries.
