The Riboli family celebrates 100 years of award-winning winemaking with this stellar Bordeaux blend.

January 25, 2017 (Paso Robles, Calif.) – 2017 marks the achievement of an important milestone for the Riboli family, the 100th anniversary of their founding brand, San Antonio Winery.

To commemorate their 100-year anniversary, the Riboli family is proud to announce the release of their special 2014 Centennial Blend. The Centennial Blend is made up of 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Malbec, 21% Petit Verdot, 11% Petite Sirah and 4% Syrah. It has been quietly aging in French oak barrels for the past 24 months, creating subtle nuances of spice and vanilla. This rich and complex wine reveals ripe flavors of dark cherry and blackberry, leaving behind a smooth finish. The grapes were sourced from the family’s estate vineyards in the El Pomar and Creston Districts of Paso Robles, California, a region the family has been farming since the early 1980’s.

The family legacy began in 1917, when Santo Cambianica founded the winery in what is now downtown Los Angeles. Two short years later, Prohibition struck the wine industry. Nearly all of the 100 wineries in Los Angeles were affected, but San Antonio Winery flourished by producing sacramental wine for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

In 1937, Santo’s nephew Stefano Riboli immigrated to the United States from Italy at the age of 16 to help his uncle at the winery. In 1946, Stefano married his wife Maddalena, and along with their three children and now grandchildren, they have helped San Antonio Winery thrive as a premier wine producer throughout the past 100 years. The winery is an integral part of California’s wine history, and the three generations involved today look forward to continuing to shape California’s wine industry for the next 100 years and beyond.

“San Antonio Winery has been a premier producer in California’s wine industry for the past 100 years, and my family is immensely proud to have reached this milestone,” said Anthony Riboli, fourth generation winemaker. “The Centennial Blend is a celebration of our past, but also a celebration of our future and a toast to another 100 years of winemaking.”

The Centennial Blend is available at all three tasting room locations in Los Angeles, Ontario, and Paso Robles. The retail price for the Centennial Blend is $85.00.
