Two events will be held – a Wine & Sign Making Soirée at The Station, and the Women’s March After-Party at Granada Hotel & Bistro, where the new Break the Glass Ceiling Cocktail will be unveiled! Both are open to the public and to all genders.

Jan. 13, 2017 (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) – The Granada Hotel & Bistro and The Station are proud to announce they will host two events in partnership with the upcoming Women’s March SLO.

The first event, the Wine & Sign Making Soirée, will be held Sunday, Jan. 15 at 7pm, at The Station wine bar and wine shop, 311 Higuera St. in San Luis Obispo.

Marchers and organizers will gather to decorate and craft their own march signs while enjoying wines made by women winemakers, handpicked by The Station’s Manager and Sommelier Jenna Congdon. Organizers will provide poster boards and markers, but guests are encouraged to bring art supplies.

The second event is the Women’s March SLO After-Party at Granada on Jan. 21, the day of the march. The party will begin at 2pm at Granada Bistro, 1126 Morro St. in San Luis Obispo

The After-Party will feature the unveiling of the Break the Glass Ceiling Cocktail. The drink, designed by house mixologist Dominique Gonzales, is crafted with sparkling rosé, local peppercorns and topped with a stiff, candy-glass shell. Each drink comes with a tiny gold hammer which guests must use to break the candy-glass “ceiling” to sip the cocktail.

On January 21, the Break the Glass Ceiling Cocktail will be priced at 80 percent (20 percent off) the normal price to call attention to the pay gap between men and women in America.

Both events are free and open to the general public and to all genders.

“Given our political climate, the annual Women’s March SLO has never been more important in calling attention to the fact that women’s rights are human rights,” says Kimberly Walker, founder of both Granada and The Station. “We are so proud The Station and Granada can play a role in making it a memorable experience for all.”
