Sofia Brand’s Newest Sparkling Wine Crafted in Traditional Champagne Method
GEYSERVILLE, Calif. (October 12, 2016) – Just in time for the holiday season, Francis Ford Coppola Winery has released the winery’s newest celebratory sparkling wine, crafted in the traditional champagne method, Sofia Méthode Champenoise.
Featuring the same bubbly personality of the winery’s iconic Sofia Blanc de Blancs, Sofia Méthode Champenoise is a flavorful blend of Pinot Blanc, Muscat and Riesling featuring hints of white flowers and citrus balanced by flavors of stone fruit and peaches with a vibrant, bubbly finish. The traditional method used to produce sparkling wine in the Champagne region of France, Méthode Champenoise, is where secondary fermentation takes place entirely in the bottle.
“I love French culture and the traditions used in making champagne,” says Sofia Coppola. “I am excited for our new Méthode Champenoise as something for celebrations to enjoy with friends! Similar to bottles of Sofia Blanc de Blancs, Sofia Méthode Champenoise is gift-wrapped in clear cellophane and finished with a pink ribbon.
