DTC Wine WorkshopsCASTRO VALLEY, CALIFORNIA:  Wineries throughout the central coast are investing in technology and training to help managers and front line staff better serve and sell to customers directly.  The value of wines shipped direct to consumer in 2015 resulted in $2 billion and wineries of all sizes see the value of selling to consumers direct.  DTC Wine Workshops is a full-service consulting firm that launched in 2013 out of a growing need for wineries to learn how to sell direct to consumer and also retain loyal club members.  DTC Wine Workshops founder Sandra Hess, comments “winery teams throughout the central coast have experienced a surge in tourism traffic over the past five years and are excited about the growth in direct wine sales as this channel results in greater profit margins than the traditional distributor model.” Hess also explains, “connected consumers are already buying everything from electronics to slippers online and have also become comfortable purchasing wine online which allows wineries to now sell to a national audience of 43 states in a complaint fashion”.  The Central Coast Roadshow sponsored by DTC Wine Workshops, Tolosa Vineyards and Allegretto Vineyard Resort provides two half-day workshops led by members of the DTC Consultant Network.  The workshops are set to take place at Allegretto Vineyard Resort in Paso Robles on August 23rd and at Tolosa Winery & Vineyards in San Luis Obispo on August 24th.  Topics include:  DTC Strategic Planning and best us of DTC Wine Technology led by Sandra Hess, Reaching new Audiences with Winery PR and Media Outreach led by Stacie Jacob as well as Email Marketing Best Practices led by Patty Ross.

DTC Wine Workshops has been featured in Forbes, Wines & Vines, Wine Business Monthly, Google Start Up Grind, Silicon Valley Bank on Wine, Vin65 Blog and ShipCompliant Blog to name a handful of publications.
