ReustleThe 2016 Oregon Wine Awards bestowed more Gold and Double Gold Medals to Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards than any other competitor.  Earning 10 Gold and Double Gold medals, Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards lead all Oregon Wineries in Gold or higher medals at this year’s Oregon Wine Awards.  Reustle also won the overall medal count, bringing 14 medals home to the Umpqua Valley.

Double Gold Medals were earned by Reustle’s 2013 Syrah Reserve, 2014 Pinot Noir – Estate, 2104 Pinot Noir Reserve, and 2014 Syrah – Estate while Reustle’s 2014 Syrah Reserve, 2014 Malbec, 2014 Grenache, 2014 Gruner Veltliner – Estate, 2014 Gruner Veltliner Reserve and 2009 Prayer Rock Ministries Pinot Noir all received Gold Medals.

Stephen M. Reustle, Owner/Winemaker commented, “I always enjoy participating in the Oregon Wine Awards.  It is a great showcase for Oregon Wines and the Umpqua Valley wineries usually perform well in competition.  This year the Umpqua Valley competed well, with four wineries earning a total of 34 medals.”

Mr. Reustle continued,

“…with wineries doing this well in competition, wine enthusiasts will take note and the Umpqua Valley will benefit from the added interest and tourism.  Results like this are a blessing and add another reason to visit the Umpqua Valley.”
