2016 Wine Business Institute Summer Intensive Gets Underway June 13

4-Day Wine Industry Credential Program Draws International and Out-of-State Professionals to California Wine Country

Sonoma-State-University-500x215Rohnert Park, California – The Wine Business Institute (WBI) at Sonoma State University (SSU) today announced the 2016 Summer Intensive certificate programs in Wine Industry Finance and Accounting, and Direct-to-Consumer Wine Sales, will take place from June 13 – 16 on SSU’s Rohnert Park campus. Topics covered in the Wine Industry Finance and Accounting seminar series include financial, managerial, and cost accounting for wineries, as well as financial strategies, budgeting, forecasting, and best practices. Issues addressed in the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Wine Sales seminar series include e-commerce for wineries, building wine clubs and winery events, and tasting room sales and management.

“The accelerated four-day seminar series is for the convenience of international and out-of-state professionals, as well as those in California, who want to build key skills in wine operations and earn important credentials. These are University-level courses taught by industry trailblazers, and designed for owners and management teams seeking to take their winery to the next level,” Ray Johnson, Director of the Wine Business Institute said.

Cost of each certificate program is $1,440. Seminars may be taken individually or together to earn a certificate. Cost of individual seminars is $150 for those who register one week in advance of the seminar date.
