Mendocino, CA (April 11, 2016) – The Gala Harvest Celebration is on its way to being inland Mendocino County’s leading event in 2016. The Gala Harvest Celebration will showcase the best Mendocino County wines, winemakers and local chefs on Saturday, October 1 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Mendocino College Student Plaza and surrounding campus in Ukiah. Tickets are $75 and are available at www.mcfgala.com

“The Gala celebration is quickly becoming the go-to event in Mendocino County. It has easy access off the 101 in Ukiah, and is a showcase of the inland Mendocino empire – highlighting its beauty, fresh farmed foods and chefs and great wines that are making Mendocino County a top location for visits, weddings, and great adventures. Make sure to mark October 1 on your calendar,” enthused event chair Diane Daubeneck. There will be lively entertainment in addition to food, beverages, fun auction and exciting raffle events.

Wineries confirmed for this event thus far include Knez Winery and Vineyards, Barra of Mendocino, Testa Vineyards, Jaxon Keys Winery, Frey Vineyards, Philo Ridge, Yorkville Cellars, Handley Cellars, Bonterra, Lillian Kimmel, Naughty Boy Vineyards, McFadden Farms, Coro of Mendocino County and McNab Ridge.

Event proceeds support the Mendocino College Foundation, non-profit 501 (c) (3), in providing scholarships, book awards, support for instructional programs, and funding for the college’s Nursing Program which is currently ranked as 1 of the 7 best nursing programs in the State of California.
