Marin Open Studios is an annual free art event that has taken place during the first two weekends in May for 23 years. Over 270 world-class artists and their works are featured for viewing and for sale at the event. The installation will be on exhibit in the Madrigal Salon from April 20 through May 16, 2016.

Oslo, Norway native Christin Coy moved to California when she was 13 years old. For 25 years, her plein air landscape paintings have expressed her appreciation for nature, particularly of Sonoma County vineyards, Marin County hills and coastal regions. She also paints in a classical realism style. http://christincoy.com/

Dorallen Davis is an impressionist landscape/figurative painter based in Marin County, California and well-known for her plein air paintings in the “colorist” tradition. She is the Director and Owner of renowned Marin Art School and a founding member of Colorists of Northern America.  www.DorallenDavis.com

Kathleen Lack is an award winning artist and teacher and specializes in the portrait and figure, working in oils and pastels.  The body language and environment is informal in her portraits: kids playing at the beach, climbing trees and observing nature. Figures are Kathleen’s inspiration, colors are her passion, and emotion is her glue. http://www.kathleenlack.com/
