The first of its kind event offers Latin food and award-winning wine pairings with live music, all for a good cause.
NAPA, Calif. (March 18, 2016)—Rolando and Lorena Herrera, owners of Mi Sueño Winery, and their family are putting the finishing touches on their first Primavera en Mi Sueño celebration. The event will showcase the winery’s hospitality center with an afternoon of Latin food paired with award-winning Mi Sueño wines and live music by the Gabriel Navia Band. Primavera en Mi Sueño will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Mi Sueño Winery, 910 Enterprise Way, Suite M, Napa, CA. Ticket proceeds will benefit Puertas Abiertas.
Recipes from Chef Maria Robledo (Lorena’s mother) will be paired with Rolando Herrera’s wines. “My two daughters, five granddaughters and grandson will help host everyone with me: three generations celebrating tradition,” said the effervescent Ms. Robledo. The menu presents four courses: Flautas de pollo drenched with tomatillo sauce served with the 2012 Los Carneros Chardonnay; Sopes de carnitas con pico de gallo paired with 2012 Los Carneros Pinot Noir; Steak and rice chiles rellenos alongside 2011 Napa Valley Cabernet; and a Chocoflan paired with 2013 Sonoma Mountain Zinfandel.
