Renowned Garden Designers and Floral Experts Will Offer a Slice of Spring Inspiration at Gloria Ferrer’s Inaugural Bubbles & Blooms


Bubbles and BloomsSonoma, CA (February 2, 2016) — Lectures and demonstrations on floral arranging, seed planting and garden design trends featuring experts such as Flower Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Margot Shaw with Kiana Underwood of Tulipina, one of the most sought after floral designers in the United States, Sunset magazine’s Senior Garden Editor Johanna Silver, and Sonoma Mission Gardens Plant Expert Deborah Thomas, will be presented at the inaugural Gloria Ferrer Caves & Vineyards Bubbles & Blooms.  This one-of-a-kind wine country celebration of spring flora, food and fine wine, will take place Saturday, April 9, 2016, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the winery located at 23555 Arnold Drive/Carneros Highway, Sonoma.

“Great winemaking at Gloria Ferrer starts first with great ingredients and so we know how important it is to tend to our garden, the beautiful estate vineyards surrounding the winery,” said Eva Bertran, Vice President of Marketing at Gloria Ferrer.  “We’re absolutely thrilled to be hosting this group of experts and we hope everyone will join us for an inspiring, beautiful and informative celebration of spring budbreak.”

The entire winery, including its original cave, will be a feast for the senses as it’s transformed with creative, whimsical and colorful floral and green art showpieces from Centerpiece Napa Valley, J. Giuffre Productions, Lavender Country Garden Florals, Moj-San and Root & Riot.  DIY workshops on floral crown and lei making will be led by Grant Avenue Florist, Catherine Scott Flowers will teach guests how to make their own cork planter magnet and Sonoma Master Gardeners will be prepared to answer any of your gardening and planting questions at the “Ask the Expert” booth. In addition, an on-site flower market will feature several vendors offering beautiful flowers, floral arrangements, plants and garden essentials for purchase.

Gloria Ferrer’s award-winning sparkling and still wines will be poured alongside delicious food crafted from locally sourced ingredients by Chef Beth Sogaard.  Guests will nibble on a variety of spring-themed small bites such as Lobster Stuffed Mini Potatoes, Duck and Gingered Vegetable “Springrolls”, Samosas Deconstructed and much more.

  • General admission tickets for attendees 21 and over are $95 per person until April 8th and $105 per person at the door.
  • Gloria Ferrer club members 21 and over may purchase tickets at a discounted rate of $85 per person until April 8 and $95 per person at the door.
  • Discounted ticket rates are available for those 21 and under.

The ticket price includes all wine, food and two raffle tickets for prizes to be given away the day of the event.
