Susan OhSonoma, Calif. (Feb. 24, 2016) Ñ Hospitality specialist Susan Oh is joining the Westwood Estate Winery team as Relationship Development Manager, responsible for a broad array of Direct To Consumer responsibilities, including oversight of the winery’s tasting room just off the square in the town of Sonoma.

Ms. Oh will manage e-commerce, events and hospitality for the winery, as well as the Contour Society member allocation program. Locally, she will work directly with key restaurant and fine wine retailers as a business development specialist.

“Susan’s dynamic personality and exceptional experience in sharing wine experiences as a means of bringing people together make her a perfect addition to our Westwood Estates team,” said Chris Vyenielo, General Manager.

Over the past decade Ms. Oh has played key roles at notable restaurants Campo Fina, Scopa and Cyrus in Healdsburg as well as hospitality venues such as Meadowood Resort in Napa, focusing on the property’s catered events. Earlier, she was part of the team at Bodega Harbor Inn in Bodega Bay.

More recently she worked as a harvest intern at Westwood Estate with Westwood winemaker Ben Cane along with Hirsch and Knez in the Anderson Valley.

Ms. Oh holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania and studied abroad at the Marathwadal Mitramandal University in Pune, India.

Westwood Estate specializes in Pinot Noir and Rhone varietals principally from the 22- acre Annadel Gap estate vineyard in northern Sonoma Valley, at the intersection of Hood Mountain and Sonoma Mountain. The winery offerings include a series of Pinot Noir bottlings featuring nine distinct clones, including a Rosé of Pinot Noir, as well as small lots of Mourvèdre, Grenache, Counoise, Syrah, Roussanne\Viognier and Rhone blends Elevation (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre) and Legend (Tannat, Syrah, Counoise).

Westwood Estate was founded by four friends who shared an overwhelming passion for great wine and who found, in the northernmost corner of the Valley of the Moon, tucked between Hood Mountain to the East and Sonoma Mountain to the West, the site for the Annadel Gap Vineyard, a perfect home for exceptional Burgundian and Rhone varietals that benefit from cool climate winegrowing.
